  • COURSE DESCRIPTION

    This on-demand podcast interview course provides inspiration, clarity, and guidance about how to provide more thoughtful care to gender questioning, transgender, and nonbinary clients. A thorough primer, this course includes discussion about the basics of what it means to be transgender/nonbinary, perspectives to enhance compassion and understanding for this clientele, suggestions as to how to create a more trans-affirming environment, and advice around how to handle the early stages of a client’s gender exploration.

    Upon completing this course, participants will be able to: List three or more ways to create an affirming environment for gender minorities; Describe how one can make usage of trans-affirming/gender neutral language a more natural part of their everyday life.

    In order to receive a certificate of completion reflecting the associated CE credit hour, you must:

    #3: Achieve a passing grade on the post-presentation test (the test has up to ten questions and you must earn a score of at least 80%; users can re-test up to three times. Psychologists who are seeking CE credit may not be awarded credit if they attempt to pass the post-test more than three times.)
