• COURSE DESCRIPTION

Students in Mental Health graduate programs are often taught ethics during their first year of graduate school; they learn not to be romantically involved with their clients or share personal information about clients. One essential item that is missing from graduate school ethics is the ethics of running an agency, community mental health center, or a private practice. During this presentation, attendees will learn how to create a business plan and vision for their private practices, agencies or community mental health centers through the lens of an ethical business owner. Participants will learn ways to create abundance in their centers and practices while adhering to the code of ethics of the American Psychological Association.

  • LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to: Discuss three ways to create an ethical business plan; Identify two ethical codes that guide being in private practice.
