• COURSE DESCRIPTION

This on-demand podcast CE course explores trauma-informed clinical care for children in foster care and the caregivers who support them. Participants will learn practical ways to support caregivers, strengthen emotional safety, prioritize regulation, pace trauma work, and adapt evidence-based practices to the realities of foster care.

  • LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to: Identify four or more trauma-informed strategies clinicians can use to support children in foster care during periods of instability; List three or more approaches for supporting foster caregivers while considering caregiver capacity and system related stress; Briefly explain how timing and placement instability may influence decisions about trauma processing and treatment planning
