    This course provides an overview of the unique treatment considerations when working with adolescent clients, including hormones, differentiation, increasingly more complex relationships, consequences, and their beliefs about the future. In this section, participants will be given a deeper look into these factors and how they impact clinical work with adolescent clients, including concerns like self-harm and bullying.

    Upon completing this course, participants will be able to: List three or more factors/considerations that specifically impact the treatment of adolescent clients; Identify two benefits of providing empathy during a perceived crisis to assist in modeling self-­regulation

    In order to receive a certificate of completion reflecting the associated CE credit hour, you must:

Talyn Olguin, LMFT holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, CA. She is collaborative and direct in her approach while providing a healthy level of support to build the therapeutic relationship. She has experience from working in Conejo Valley School District as a primary therapist in the schools, domestic violence programs to assist in safety as well as transitional housing, in home counseling for at risk youth, and residential placement for suicidal teens. She sees families, couples and individuals in her two private practice location in Tarzana, CA and Los Angeles, CA.
