  • Course Description

    This is a notably stressful time for everyone, and therapists/counselors are in an unusual situation: Helping clients process their feelings about the pandemic while also simultaneously having to work through their own feelings about it. This interview will help you manage the stress and anxiety of your clients (and your own) during the COVID-19 directives. Dr. Ho covers tips for how to organize your telehealth sessions, maintain good boundaries for work and play in your home, and evidence-based strategies for emotional health. To reduce isolation and feelings of loneliness, creative methods for social connection will also be reviewed.

    Upon completing this course, participants will be able to: Explain the biological underpinnings of loneliness and anxiety and how the perception of loneliness can impact mental and physical health; Describe two or more strategies for managing anxiety and stress when feeling isolated at home due to social distancing measures; Discuss three methods for improving social connectivity during social distancing

Dr. Judy maintains a private practice in Manhattan Beach, CA where she specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and expert witness work. Elizabeth 'Beth' Irias (she/her) is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and the Founder and President of Clearly Clinical.
